Modification To Prevent Oil Leaks Around Governor Control Shaft{1265,1287}
Usage:
G342C Spark-Ignited Engines
Some G342C Spark-Ignited Engines may have an oil leak at the governor control shaft where it goes through the side cover on the governor housing. Leakage can be stopped by adding a counterbore for a seal in the 4L3414 Cover as shown. The part number is stamped on the cover.
Location of governor shaft hole.
Install a 7J375 U-cup Seal in the counterbore. Do not reuse the former seal and washer at this location.
