--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------
The 8N5130 and 8N7139 End Tank Seals that are used in folded core radiators are improved. The neck length is increased 6 mm (.2"). Added length allows an extra sealing ring to be added to the inner diameter. This increases the total number of sealing rings to four to provide additional sealing when tank sizes vary in height. New modules with longer top and bottom necks are being introduced to further improve sealing. See illustration. Longer neck seals can be used with the long neck modules 21 mm (.83") or the short neck modules 16.5 mm (.65"). Short neck seals should not be used with the long neck modules.
NOTE: The folded core may be assembled more easily if seals are installed in the top and bottom tanks rather than on the module necks. Lubricate the seal inside surface and the module neck with 5P3975 Rubber Lubricant. Insert the module. Placing the seals on the module first will increase the likelihood of a seal twist. Always use 5P3975 Rubber Lubricant between the module and the seal. If the lubricant is not available, a liquid dishwashing soap may be used. Do not use any petroleum based products or products that contain abrasive particles.
