Installation Procedure

1. Inspect the condition of the gaskets. Replace the gaskets, if necessary.

2. Attach a suitable lifting device to turbocharger (1). The weight of each turbocharger (1) is approximately 81 kg (178 lb).

3. Apply Tooling (A) to the studs on the exhaust bellows (9). Position turbocharger (1) and the gaskets. Install the washers and nuts (10) and (11) that attach turbocharger (1) to exhaust bellows (9). Tighten nuts (10) and (11) to a torque of 47 ± 5 N·m (35 ± 4 lb ft). Tighten nuts (10) and (11) again to a torque of 47 ± 5 N·m (35 ± 4 lb ft).

4. Install the washers and nuts (3).

5. Install tube assembly (2).

6. Position oil drain tube (8). Install the bolts in each end of oil drain tube (8).

7. Connect hose assembly (6) and fitting (7).

8. Connect elbow (4) to turbocharger (1) and install clamp assembly (5).

9. Fill the cooling system to the correct level with coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".
