NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.


Note: Check the O-ring seals, the gaskets, and the seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.

  1. Attach a suitable lifting device to turbocharger (7). The weight of turbocharger (7) is approximately 23 kg (51 lb). Install turbocharger (7) on the exhaust manifold.

  1. Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of bolts (9). Tighten bolts (9) to a torque of 55 ± 5 N·m (41 ± 4 lb ft).

  1. Connect tube assembly (8) .

  1. Connect tube assemblies (6) .

  1. Install clamp assembly (5). Tighten the nut on clamp assembly (5) to a torque of 14 ± 1 N·m (124 ± 9 lb in). Lightly tap around the diameter of the clamp assembly with a soft hammer. Tighten the nut to a torque of 14 ± 1 N·m (124 ± 9 lb in).

  1. Position guard (3) and install bolts (2) .

  1. Install bolts (1) and install bolts (4) .

  1. Fill the Cooling System with Coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".

End By: Install the air cleaner. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Air Cleaner - Remove and Install".
