Usage:
3406 Engines
Description of Change: A stronger one-piece flywheel housing gasket, which does not need gasket cement for installation, is now used on 3406 Engines. The gasket cement used to install the former gasket can cause deterioration (to lower the quality) of the gasket material and early failure of the gasket. Also, the material in the new gasket has more resistance to engine oil than the former gasket. Engine oil can make the former gasket soft, which can also cause early failure of the gasket.
Adaptable To: All earlier 3406 Engines. The new 7N9335 Gasket is a direct replacement for the former 4N1093 Gasket which is canceled.
INSTALLATION: The new 7N9335 Gasket must be installed dry.
NOTE: Before installation of the new gasket, the front face of the flywheel housing, rear face of the block, and both sides of the gasket must be free of contaminants (dirt, oil, fuel, water, gasket, cement, etc.).
