Grind Material From Boss On Parts Service Cylinder Block To Give Clearance For Starting Motor Mounting Bolt{1201,1453}

Usage:

3306 Truck Engines ( 76R2810-up)

Description of Change: The boss on the lower left rear side of the 2P8776 Cylinder Block is ground off to give enough clearance for the starting motor lower mounting bolt (see illustration). This same modification will have to be made if a replacement cylinder block is installed and a new 9N2796 Flywheel Housing is used.

The clearance problem was caused by the installation of the new 9N2796 Flywheel Housing. The problem will be corrected at the factory in the near future, by a change to the flywheel housing.

Adaptable To: 3306 Truck Engines, with Serial Numbers 76R2810-up.

Remove material as shown.
