Drill Hole In Handle Of Early 5P3520 Spanner Wrenches For Use With 5P8675 Extension Handle{0620}

Usage:

The earlier 5P3520 Spanner Wrenches did not have the small hole in the handle. The hole is necessary to fasten the 5P8675 Extension Handle to the spanner wrench with the 6H3956 Spring Pin. It is important that the spring pin be used with the extension handle to prevent any rotation of or separation from the spanner wrench, which can give a wrong torque value.

The hole can be added to the earlier spanner wrenches as shown in the illustration.

The 5P8675 Extension Handle has been available for only a short time. Several Disassembly and Assembly Service Manuals have been written that show the 2P8285 Handle used with the 5P3520 Spanner Wrench. The correct handle to use is the 5P8675 Extension Handle.
