--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------

Description of Change: The fuel priming pump assemblies available for the above models have been improved. A different design rod assembly is now used to prevent leakage. The new rod assembly has a head with more exact tolerances on the O-ring groove so the seal will be tight when installed. Also, the new rod assembly permits the fuel priming pump to be put into its open position more easily. Formerly, the lock pin on the rod assembly did not go completely through the cap. When the knob was turned, it was possible to break the lock pin or loosen the knob.

Adaptable To: The improved fuel priming pump assemblies can be installed on all earlier models as shown in the chart that follows:

NOTE: Identification of the improved priming pump assemblies can be found on the side of the assemblies. For the 6N6800 and 6N6802 Fuel Priming Pump Assemblies, look for the part number and under it a "2". For the 6N6803 Fuel Priming Pump Assembly, look for a "5" under the part number. These numbers are the change levels at which time the new rod assembly was first used.

If replacement of the knob is necessary, a repair kit is now available. Order a 7N6282 Knob Kit which is adaptable to the 6N6800, 6N6802 and 6N6803 Fuel Priming Pump Assemblies.
