Improved Front Pulley And Damper Groups Use New Damper Adapter With Larger Diameter Bolt Circle For Pulley Bolts{1205}

Usage:

3406 Industrial and Marine Engines;
3408 Industrial Engines

Description of Change: New front pulley and damper groups for 3406 and 3408 Industrial Engines use a new damper adapter and pulley (or pulleys) with a larger diameter bolt circle for the pulley mounting bolts. This lowers the bolt stresses caused by heavy belt loads, especially on pulleys that have grooves for several belts. Formerly, heavy belt loads in some conditions caused enough stress to break the pulley near the mounting bolts.

The new damper adapter is also used in the pulley and damper group for 3406 Marine Engines, and in the front power take off (clutch) group for 3406 Industrial Engines.

Adaptable As: Direct replacement when the necessary parts are used together.
