Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury. To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment. |

- Lubricate the O-ring seal for retainer (4) with clean diesel fuel. Install the O-ring seal onto the retainer.
- Install valve (2), spring (3), and retainer (4) into body (1) .
- Install plate (5) onto body (1) .
- Install setscrew (6) in plate (5). Do not tighten the locknut. Adjust the setscrew once the fuel pressure control valve is installed on the engine in order to regulate the fuel pressure. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Fuel Pressure".
End By: Install the fuel pressure control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Pressure Control Valve - Install".
