Problem

Field service reports indicate that the air conditioner compressor mount may crack.

Solution

Caterpillar is aware of the problem, but an interim repair has not yet been defined.

Inspect the air conditioner compressor mount for cracking. Repair or replace a cracked air conditioner compressor mount with the same part.

Follow the instruction below if you have experienced cracking of the air conditioner compressor mount.

  1. Submit a Service Information Management System (SIMS) report. Attach photos of the cracked air conditioner compressor mount to the SIMS report.

  2. Submit a Dealer Solution Network (DSN) ticket quoting CPI number 374650

  3. Request that the Tier 1 representative, transfer your ticket to an available Tier 2 representative for Caterpillar Underground Mining - Base Machine. The Tier 2 representative will request the machine serial number and machine operating hours.
