Drive Shaft - Remove and Install
Start By:
- Connect the steering frame lock.
- Remove bolts (2) and the strap that fasten front drive shaft (3) to fixed axle (1). Discard bolts (2).

- Remove bolts (6).
- Remove bolts (5) and the strap that fasten front drive shaft (3) to center drive shaft (7). Discard bolts (5).
- Remove front drive shaft (3) from the machine.

- Install front drive shaft (3) in the reverse order of removal.
- Install new bolts (5) and tighten until snug. Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of
71 ± 10 N·m (52 ± 7 lb ft) using an X pattern. - Install new bolts (2) and tighten until snug. Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of
71 ± 10 N·m (52 ± 7 lb ft) using an X pattern.
- Install new bolts (5) and tighten until snug. Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of
Start By:

- Remove bolts (1) and the strap that fasten center drive shaft (2) to transmission yoke (3). Discard bolts (2).

- Remove center drive shaft (2) from the machine.

- Install center drive shaft (2) in the reverse order of removal.
- Install new bolts (4) and tighten until snug. Tighten bolts (4) to a torque of
71 ± 10 N·m (52 ± 7 lb ft) using an X pattern. - Install new bolts (1) and tighten until snug. Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of
71 ± 10 N·m (52 ± 7 lb ft) using an X pattern.
Note: Install center drive shaft (2) with the female end toward the transmission.
- Install new bolts (4) and tighten until snug. Tighten bolts (4) to a torque of

- Remove bolts (4) and the strap that fasten rear drive shaft (3) to yoke (5). Discard bolts (4).
- Remove rear drive shaft (3) from the machine.

- Install rear drive shaft (3) in the reverse order of removal.
Note: Install rear drive shaft (3) with the female end toward the transmission.
- Install new bolts (4) and tighten until snug. Tighten bolts (4) to a torque of
71 ± 10 N·m (52 ± 7 lb ft) using an X pattern. - Install new bolts (2) and tighten until snug. Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of
71 ± 10 N·m (52 ± 7 lb ft) using an X pattern.
