Description of Change: The self cleaning shoe for D6M and D6N has been improved. This shoe is sometimes referred to as an APEX track shoe due to the angular shaped sides of the shoe. Geometry changes to the shoe improves cracking resistance and increases service life.

The new 424-3498 Track Shoe only applies to D6M LGP and D6N LGP tractors with SystemOne undercarriage. This shoe will not work for D6M and D6N XL tractors. The former 241-7871 Track Shoe is canceled and replaced by the new 424-3498 Track Shoe. The new self cleaning shoe will retrofit onto any D6M LPG or D6N LGP SystemOne track with self cleaning shoes. Table 1 shows the new and former shoe part numbers.

For current factory built machines, self cleaning track shoes are now only offered with the Heavy Duty undercarriage option. The self cleaning shoe for Heavy Duty track is a different part number than the self cleaning shoe for SystemOne track. The new 424-3498 Track Shoe is only available through the parts system.
