Description of Change: A new pin within a pin is used to improve retention of the planetary shaft. The second pin increases strength against shearing of the roll pin and the second pin improves the strength of the planetary system.
Adaptable To: The new 138-1645 Spring Pin (1) is added to the current 8T-2925 Spring Pin (2) in the 9U-3713 Brake and Planetary Gp. and the 9C-8178 Brake and Planetary Gp
With 9U-3713 Brake and Planetary Gp the new pin is effective with 515 (S/N: 4LR352-UP) Wheel Skidders and 525 (S/N: 1DN1023-UP) Wheel Skidders This improvement is adaptable to first production for the machines listed. To adapt this improvement to earlier machines, use the procedure in the Reference.
With 9C-8178 Brake and Planetary Gp the new pin is effective with 950F (S/N: 5SK1-UP) Wheel Loader., 950F Series II (S/N: 7ZF1-UP) Wheel Loader, and 960F (S/N: 9ZJ1-UP) Wheel Loader.
