Ko je generator nameščen ali znova priključen, poskrbite, da skupni tok v katerikoli fazi ne presega nazivne vrednosti na imenski ploščici. Vsaka faza mora imeti enako obremenitev. To omogoča, da generator deluje z nazivno zmogljivostjo. Če tok ene faze preseže jakost toka na imenski ploščici, pride do električnega neravnovesja. Električno neravnovesje lahko povzroči električno preobremenitev in pregrevanje.

Faktor moči lahko imenujemo tudi učinkovitost obremenitve, ki je lahko izražena kot razmerje med vrednostjo kVA in dejansko vrednostjo kW. Faktor moči lahko izračunate tako, da delite kW s kVA. Faktor moči je izražen kot decimalno število. Faktor moči predstavlja del toka, ki se dovaja sistemu, ki opravlja koristno delo. Sistem ADEM III deluje kot regulator za ta motor.

Opomba Če električni sklop dlje časa deluje v spodnjem prostem teku, se nekateri regulatorji napetosti izklopijo. Električni sklop je treba popolnoma izklopiti in ga nato znova zagnati. To omogoči regulatorju napetosti, da znova zagotavlja izhod.
