Description of Change: Updates have been made to the parking brake group. New washers and longer bolts will increase the strength of the bolted joint. Retaining compound is now used.

The 110-4774 Parking Brake Group has been updated. Replace the former 6V-4429 Bolt with the longer 9X-2021 Locking Bolt (1). Replace the former 9X-8268 Washer with the thicker 198-4768 Hard Washer (2). Before installation, apply 4C-9506 Retaining Compound or 4C-9507 Retaining Compound to the plate assembly or the mating surface of the bearing retainer. Torque the bolts to 300 ± 40 N·m (222 ± 30 lb ft).
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.The new parts are direct replacements for the former parts. The new parts are adaptable to first production of the listed machines.
