Description of Change: The rear hood assembly on the 631G and 637G Wheel Tractor-Scrapers has been replaced. The new hood has more support in the corners. Also, wear pads have been improved in order to compensate for relative movement between the components of the hood assembly.

Adaptable To: The improvement to the hood assembly is effective with the following machines:

• 631G (S/N: DFA1-327)

• 637G (S/N: DFJ1-351)

The improvement to the hood assembly is currently installed on the following machines:

• 631G (S/N: DFA328-UP)

• 637G (S/N: DFJ352-UP)

The update involves replacing the 240-9478 Hood As with the 301-4214 Hood As on (S/N: DFA1-224) and (S/N: DFJ1-127). Use the hood and the guard group as a guide to select new hardware for installing the new rear hood. On serial numbers (S/N: DFA224-327) and (S/N: DFJ280-351), replace the rubber bumpers with eight 296-6677 Wear Pads.
