    Sensor Value (typical screen)

  1. Use Cat Electronic Technician in order to adjust articulation sensor (1) to 0° ± 4°. The screen in Illustration 3 can be used in order to read the position.

Note: The steering frame lock must be installed in order to adjust articulation sensor (1) .

  1. Adjust the value by loosening bolt (5) and turning shaft (6) in adjustment lever (2) . Adjust linkage (4) until the articulation sensor value is 0° ± 4°. Tighten bolt (5) .

  1. Unlock the steering frame lock link so that the machine can be articulated.

  1. Articulate the machine in both directions while you watch the value of sensor (1) .

Note: The machine should articulate 40° in both directions. The machine should not exceed 47° in either direction. During the adjustment procedure, the sensor must be at 0° ± 4° and the steering frame lock must be installed. The sensor must not exceed 47° under full articulation in either direction. Sensor (1) must be replaced if the articulation values do not meet these criteria.
