Introduction
These Special Instruction, REHS3096, "Procedures For Installing Multi-Velocity Program (MVP) In the D6R Series III" will provide the following procedures in order to convert your D6R Series III tractor to Multi-Velocity Program (MVP) .
MVP features provide additional speed ranges in order to match specific applications. Intermediate speeds that are obtained from MVP are not from additional gears. Intermediate speeds do not represent different options for stalling the machine or for retarding speed. Intermediate speeds cannot be used to gain a mechanical advantage when a large load is encountered.
Reference Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7925 for the operating instructions for MVP.
The following procedures need to be completed in order to install MVP functions in your D6R Series III:
Note: Installing MVP will allow your tractor to have five speeds or three speeds via a switch in the cab.
- MVP switch installation
- Removing the "T" harness
- Rework the wire assembly for the steering filter bypass.
- Install the jumper wire to the wiring harness for the dash behind the instrument panel on certain tractors.
- Flash the software.
