Impeller Clutch of the Torque Converter (Electronic Technician) - Calibrate
- Connect the Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET) to the machine through connector (1). Use the tools that are listed in Table 1.

- Turn the key start switch to the ON position.
- Open the software program for ET.
- Select "Transmission 992G" from the "ECM Selector" screen and click on the "OK" button.

- Select "Service" menu from tool bar at the top of the screen.

- Select "Calibrations" from the "Service" menu.
- Select "Impeller Clutch Solenoid Calibration" from the "Calibrations" menu.
- Select the "Next" button in order to begin the calibration. A check mark button will be placed to the left of a completed step and the next step will be highlighted in bold text. After successful completion of a step, you may need to select the "Next" button in order to begin the following step. Follow the steps that are listed in the bottom section of the screen until the calibration procedure is complete.
Note: The step that currently needs to be performed will be in bold text. All other steps will be displayed in gray text.

- When the calibration is complete, ET will display a status screen. The status screen will inform you if the calibration was successful. If the calibration was unsuccessful, ET will display the reason for the failure. Select the "Restart" button in order to repeat the calibration or press the "Finish" button in order to exit the status screen.
Note: The transmission (ECM) will store the new calibration data when the calibration is successful.

- Turn the key start switch to the OFF position. Remove the service tooling from the machine.
