Description of Change: New thrust discs are now used in the transmission. The new thrust discs improve the service life of the planetary carriers and the planetary gear mills.

Adaptable To: The new 7G-0897 Thrust Disc is a direct replacement for the former 8E-8310 Thrust Disc. The new 7G-0897 Thrust Discs are made out of a material that is more resistant to wear.

The new 7G-0897 Thrust Disc is effective with the following machines:

  • D9R (S/N: ABK929-UP; ACL1061-UP)

  • D10R (S/N: AKT545-UP)

The new 7G-0897 Thrust Disc is adaptable to the following machines:

  • D9N (S/N: 1JD1-UP)

  • D9R (S/N: 7TL1-UP; 8BL1-UP; ABK1-928; ACL1-1060)

  • D10N (S/N: 2YD1-UP; 3SK1-UP)

  • D10R (S/N: 3KR1-UP; AKT1-544)

Note: When you install the new 7G-0897 Thrust Disc, extreme care must be used. The new 7G-0897 Thrust Disc is made with a harder material that causes the discs to be more brittle. If the new discs are damaged during installation, cracks could be initiated and the discs will fail in fatigue. The discs must be aligned with both the bores of the carrier and the inside of the bearing of the planetary gears. This alignment is needed in order to prevent the parts from interfering with the installation of the shaft.
