Description of Change: A new idler gear and cluster gear shaft are now available for the machines that are listed above. The new idler gear and cluster gear shaft have an increased length of press fit. The previous balancer gear assembly had a 28 mm (1.1 inch) length of press fit. The new idler gear has a 41 mm (1.6 inch) length of press fit. This increase in the length of press fit will result in a stronger joint.
Adaptable To: The new 101-1377 Idler Gear and the 101-1378 Cluster Gear Shaft are direct replacements for the previous 101-1363 Balancer Gear Assembly and the 101-1366 Gear Shaft. The effective date in production for the change in balancer gears is 12March 2004. The new assembly is effective with the Machine Engines that are listed in Table 1.
