Description of Change: The MIDS display is being replaced by the Advisor Monitor Display on the above G3500 and G3600 Engines that have the Advanced Digital Engine Management III (ADEM III) Electronic Control Module.
Adaptable To: The 168-5274 Display Module Gp is being cancelled and replaced by the following two displays.
- 266-0269 Monitor Service Electronic Control Module
- 266-0270 Monitor Service Electronic Control Module
The 266-0270 Monitor Service Electronic Control Module contains the 255-8937 Engine Electronic Control Gp (Advisor Monitor Display). This display is used on G3500 Engines that are programmed with the 218-7530 Monitor Software Gp (flash file).
The Advisor Monitor Display has the same screen displays and the same keypad as the MIDS display. The display in the 266-0269 Monitor Service Electronic Control Module and the 266-0270 Monitor Service Electronic Control Module is slightly larger than the display in the 168-5274 Display Module Gp. To facilitate the larger size, the 204-6689 Control Panel Box Gp is being cancelled and replaced by the following box groups:
The 257-5889 Control Panel Gp is for use with G3600 Engines. The 260-0862 Box is for use with G3500 Engines.Field Replacement
For field replacement of the 168-5274 Display Module Gp, the cutout in the door of the 204-6689 Control Panel Box Gp must be enlarged. Refer to Special Instruction, REHS2347 for additional details.
The 266-2501 Communication Installation Gp provides the mounting hardware that is required for installing either of the above monitors. Table 1 lists the parts that are contained in the 266-2501 Communication Installation Gp.
