Transmission Pressures - Test and Adjust

Usage:

924G 3DZ

------ WARNING! ------

Sudden movement of the machine or release of oil under pressure can cause injury to persons on or near the machine.

To prevent possible injury, perform the procedure that follows before testing and adjusting the power train.

----------------------

------ WARNING! ------

Personal injury can result from hydraulic oil pressure and hot oil.

Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system after the engine has been stopped. Serious injury can be caused if this pressure is not released before any service is done on the hydraulic system.

Make sure all of the attachments have been lowered, oil is cool before removing any components or lines. Remove the oil filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.

----------------------

Pressure Tap Location

When pressure is in the system, do not connect or do not disconnect hose fittings to the pressure taps.

  1. Install the 3T-0811 O-Ring Adapter that has the pressure tap into the transmission.

  1. Connect one end of the 6V-3014 Hose Assembly to 8T-0853 Pressure Gauge . Connect the other end of the hose to the test port (D) for the lube pressure.

  1. Connect one end of the 6V-3014 Hose Assembly to 8T-0853 Pressure Gauge . Connect the other end of the hose to the test port (E) for the converter outlet.

  1. Engage the parking brake.

  1. Move the direction control lever to the NEUTRAL position.

  1. Start the engine.

  1. Run the engine at 2300 ± 25 rpm. Record the pressures in each circuit.

  1. Run the engine at 850 ± 25 rpm. Record the pressures in each circuit.

  1. If the pressures are to the correct specifications, remove all of the test equipment.
