Installation Procedure

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

1. Position Tooling (A) under push arms (6). The center of the bearings is 54.6 cm (21.50 inches) from the ground (X) .

2. Install the push arms and the trunnions in the bearings.

3. Install caps (5) .

4. Connect tilt cylinder hose assemblies (1) to the elbows.

5. Fasten a hoist to the rod end of the lift cylinders. Support the weight of the cylinders with the hoist.

6. Extend the lift cylinders until rod assemblies (2) are in position on the trunnion balls on the bulldozer blade.

   Note: Install an equal amount of shims on each side of caps (3) in order to obtain 0.3 mm (.010 inch) to 0.8 mm (.030 inch) clearance between the cap and the bulldozer trunnion ball.

7. Put the shims and caps (3) into position on rod assemblies (2) and install bolts (4) and the nuts.

8. Fill the implement hydraulic system. Refer to the appropriate Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct procedure.
