Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the bulldozer. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bulldozer - Remove" for the machine that is being serviced.

1. Raise the bulldozer and put blocks (2) into position under push arms (1), as shown.

2. Disconnect tilt cylinder hose assemblies (3) .

3. Remove guard (4) and the rubber from the hose assemblies.

4. Fasten a hoist to the tilt cylinder. Remove the bolts, cap (5) and the shims from the end of the tilt cylinder.

5. Remove pin (7) and tilt cylinder (6) from the bulldozer. The weight of the tilt cylinder is 75 kg (165.0 lb).

6. Fasten a hoist to the rod end of the lift cylinder.

7. Remove the bolts, cap (8) and the shims from rod assembly (9) .

8. Retract the lift cylinders and remove the hoist.

9. Remove pins (11) and link assembly (10) from the push arm and the bulldozer blade.

10. Fasten a hoist to bulldozer blade (12) .

11. Fasten a hoist to brace (14) .

12. Remove the bolts, cap (13) and the shims from brace (14) .

13. Remove pin (15) and brace (14) from the bulldozer. The weight of the brace is 30 kg (65.0 lb).

14. Remove the bolts, caps (16) and the shims from the push arms and blade (12) .

15. Remove blade (12). The weight of the blade is 864 kg (1900.0 lb).

16. Fasten a hoist and Tooling (A) to left push arm (17), as shown.

17. Remove the bolts and cap (18) from the left push arm and the trunnion.

18. Remove left push arm (17) from the trunnion and the right push arm. The weight of the left push arm is 386 kg (850.0 lb).

19. Fasten a hoist and Tooling (A) to right push arm (20), as shown.

20. Remove the bolts and cap (19) from the right push arm and the trunnion.

21. Remove right push arm (20) from the trunnion and blocks (2). The weight of the right push arm is 386 kg (850.0 lb).

22. Remove six bolts (22), two retainers (23) and cage (21) from right push arm (20) .
