Assembly Procedure

- Clean all parts and inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement.
- Install seal (27) , O-ring seal (26) and O-ring seal (25) to body (4) .

- Lubricate lip seal (24) lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed. Use Tool (A) to install lip seal (24) to body (4) .

- Install washer (23) to body (4) .

- Use a hydraulic press to install roller bearing (22) to shaft assembly (21) . Install the roller bearing until the roller bearing contacts the lip of the shaft.

- Use a hydraulic press to install shaft assembly (21) to body (4) . Install the shaft assembly until the shaft assembly is seated in the body.

- Use Tool (B) to install retaining ring (20) to shaft assembly (21) .

- Install O-ring seal (19) and seal (18) to ring (17) .

- Install ring (17) to body (4) .

- Install dowel pins (13) , ring (12) , plate assembly (11) and two bolts (10) to plate assembly (14) .

- Install cartridge (9) and seal (8) to body (4) .

- Install O-ring seal (7) to cover (2) . Install swivel adapter (6) to cover (2) and tighten retaining nut (5) .
