- Clean all parts and inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement.
- Install O-ring seal (61) to top seat (57) . Install the ball and O-ring seal (60) to bottom seat (59) .

- Install bottom seat (59) and ball (58) to elevator control valve (3) . Install top seat (57) to elevator control valve (3) .

- Install plug (56) and the O-ring seal to elevator control valve (3) .

- Install washer (55) , spring (54) , retainer (53) and ring (52) to spool valve (42) .

- Install O-ring seal (51) , stop (50) and valve (49) to elevator control valve (3) .

- Use Tool (A) to install lip seal (48) and install O-ring seal (47) to cover (46) . Lubricate lip seal (48) lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

- Install cover (46) and two bolts (45) to elevator control valve (3) . Install swivel adapter (44) to cover (46) and tighten retaining nut (43) .

- Install spool valve (42) and two springs (41) to elevator control valve (3) .

- Install four balls (36) , retainer (35) , retaining ring (34) and retaining ring (33) to cover (17) . Install six O-ring seals (32) to cover (17) .

- Install plug (14) , valve (13) , spring (12) , O-ring seal (11) , cover (10) and two bolts (9) to diverter valve (2) .
