  1. Clean all parts and inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement.

  1. Use Tooling (A) and a press to install bearing race (14) to roller (3) . Install the race until the race is seated in the roller. Repeat the procedure for the other bearing race.

  1. Install roller bearing (13) to roller (3) . Pack the roller bearing with 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease before installing. Use Tooling (A) to install lip seal (12) to roller (3) .

  1. Install spacer (11) to roller (3) .

  1. Install roller bearing (10) to roller (3) . Pack the roller bearing with 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease before installing.

  1. Install washer (9) to roller (3) .

  1. Install bolt (8) to roller (3) .

  1. Install cap (7) and four bolts (6) to roller (3) .

  1. Install shield (5) and four shims (4) to roller (3) .

  1. Install bracket (2) and nut (1) to roller (3) . Use the grease fitting on the other side to fill the roller with 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease .

End By: Install the idler. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Elevator Chain Adjustment Idler - Install". The information is in this manual.
