(2) Tighten the nut until a force of 28 ± 7 N (6.3 ± 1.5 lb) is needed to move knob (1). Apply force at point (D). Measure the force that is needed to move the knob. Tighten the nut, or loosen the nut, as needed.

(3) Five bearings are illustrated. When replacement is necessary, use a driver only on the end that is stamped.

(4) Assemble the bearing in contact with one side of the lever assembly.

(A) Center to center dimension between rod ends ... 80.0 ± 1.0 mm (3.15 ± 0.04 inch)

(B) The offset for each side ... 3.0 ± 0.5 mm (0.118 ± 0.02 inch)

(C) Offset dimension ... 1.3 ± 0.3 mm (0.051 ± 0.012 inch)
