Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the pilot/brake pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Vane Pump (Pilot and Braking) - Remove".

1. Mark the pump at points of separation prior to disassembly. Remove four bolts (1) and cover assembly (2).

2. Remove spring (5), O-ring seal (3), and plate assembly (4).

3. Remove cartridge assembly (7) from pump body (6).

4. Remove two pins (9) and rotor assembly (8) from cartridge assembly (7).

5. Remove 12 vanes (10) from rotor assembly (8).

6. Remove O-ring seal (11) from pump body (6).

7. Use Tooling (A) in order to remove snap ring (13) from pump body (6). Remove shaft (12) from pump body (6).

8. Use Tooling (A) in order to remove snap ring (15) from shaft (12). Use a suitable press in order to remove bearing (14) from shaft (12), as shown.

9. Remove lip seal (17) from the pump body. Remove fitting (16) from the pump body, if necessary. Replace the O-ring seal on fitting (16), if necessary.

10. Remove fitting (18) from cover assembly (2), if necessary. Replace the O-ring seal on fitting (18), if necessary.
