Electric Starting Motor - Remove and Install
Removal Procedure

Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
- Disconnect the battery cables from the battery.
- Place an index mark on all of the harness assemblies that are connected to the electric starting motor. Disconnect the harness assemblies from the electric starting motor.
- Fasten a suitable lifting device to electric starting motor (2). The weight of the electric starting motor is approximately 27 kg (60 lb).

- Remove bolts (1) .
- Remove electric starting motor (2) .

- Position the electric starting motor in the flywheel housing. Install bolts (1) .
- Connect all of the harness assemblies to the electric starting motor by using the index marks.
- Connect the battery cables to the battery.
