(1) Lubricate the bore of the two O-ring seals lightly with glycerin or an approved equivalent.

(2) Lubricate the bore of the O-ring seal with glycerin or an approved equivalent.

Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Auxiliary Water Pump - Assemble" in order to install the water pump seal group (3) and lip type seal (6).

(4) Bearing locknut

Torque for the bearing locknut ... 300 ± 30 N·m (220 ± 22 lb ft)

Torque for the setscrews ... 4.00 ± 1.25 N·m (35 ± 11 lb in)

(5) Torque for the plug ... 8 ± 1 N·m (70 ± 9 lb in)

(7) Lubricate the pump shaft with a thin film of clean engine oil before pressing the impeller onto the pump shaft. The end of the pump shaft must be flush with the face of the impeller within 0.076 mm (0.0030 inch).

(B) Bore in the bearing housing for the bearing assembly ... 81.013 to 81.038 mm (3.1895 to 3.1905 inch)

(C) Diameter of the pump shaft for the bearing assembly ... 33.325 to 33.350 mm (1.3120 to 1.3130 inch)
