Lubricate O-Ring Seals Prior to Installing the Wastegate Control Solenoid {1057, 5479}
- Engine:
- C7 (S/N: KAL1-UP; FML1-UP; FMM1-UP)
- C9 (S/N: MTB1-UP; 9DG1-UP)
Apply a small amount of 5P-3975 Rubber Lubricant to the O-rings of the smart wastegate solenoid prior to installing the solenoid onto the engine's air inlet cover. This will help to prevent damage to the O-ring seals during installation. Refer to Illustration 1 for the location of the seals.
