Usage:
start by:
a) remove air cleaner housing
1. Disconnect breather (1) from the valve cover. Pull the breather clear of the valve cover.
2. Remove the bolts that hold glow plug wire lead assembly (2) to the valve cover. Pull the lead assembly clear of the valve cover.
3. Remove the bolts that hold elbow (6) and remove the elbow.
4. Remove bolts (5) and washers that hold the valve cover to the cylinder head.
5. Remove reinforcements (4) and valve cover (3).
Install Valve Cover
1. Make a replacement of the gasket for the valve cover if it is needed. Put 5H2471 Cement on the contact surfaces of the gasket and valve cover when a new gasket is installed.
2. Put valve cover (1) in position on the cylinder head. Put the reinforcements in position on the valve cover.
3. Install the bolts and washers that hold the valve cover in place. Tighten the bolts in number sequence as shown to a torque of 8 ± 2 lb.ft. (11 ± 3 N·m).
4. Connect the breather to the valve cover.
5. Install the elbow to the turbocharger.
6. Pull the glow plug lead assembly into position on the valve cover and install the bolts that hold the lead assembly in place.
