Usage:
start by: (for machines without a cab)
a) remove Roll-Over Protective Structure*
start by: (for machines with a cab)
a) remove cab*
*These operations are in the Operator's Station Disassembly and Assembly section.
1. Drain coolant from the radiator until the level is below the cylinder head. Remove the floor plate from machines without a cab.
2. Remove the cotter pins and pins from the brake linkages (1) and the steering clutch linkages (2).
3. Remove cotter pin and pin (3) from governor linkage.
4. Remove two bolts (4) and remove bracket assembly (5) from dash.
5. Remove cotter pin and pin (7) from governor linkage.
6. Remove two bolts and remove bracket assembly (6) from the dash. Remove the shaft assembly.
7. Disconnect wiring harness (8) from dash.
8. Remove the water temperature sending unit (9) from the cylinder head and pull it clear of engine.
9. Disconnect the oil pressure line (10) and the fuel pressure line (11).
10. Disconnect the service meter wire (12).
11. Remove the torque converter oil temperature sending unit (13).
12. Remove two bolts from the cover on top of the dash and install two 3/8-16 NC forged eyebolts. Fasten a hoist to the eyebolts.
13. Remove two bolts and washers (14) that hold the dash to the fenders.
14. Remove dash (15). The weight of the dash is 220 lb. (99 kg).
Install Dash
1. Fasten a hoist to the dash (1) and put it into position on the machine.
2. Install the two bolts and washers (2) that hold the dash to the fenders.
3. Install the torque converter oil temperature sending unit (3).
4. Install the water temperature sending unit (4) in the cylinder head.
5. Connect the oil pressure line (5) and the fuel pressure line (6).
6. Connect the service meter wire (7).
7. Put the shaft assembly (8) in position. Install the bracket assembly (9) on the dash.
8. Install the pin and cotter pin (10) in the governor linkage.
9. Install the bracket assembly (12) on the dash.
10. Install the pin and cotter pin (11) in the governor linkage.
11. Install the pins and cotter pins (13) in the brake linkages.
12. Install the pins and cotter pins in the steering clutch linkages (14).
13. Install the floor plate in machines without a cab.
14. Fill the cooling system with coolant to the correct level. See LUBRICATION AND MAINTENANCE GUIDE.
