Lifter Group - Remove and Install
Start By:
- Remove the cylinder head. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cylinder Head - Remove".

Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
- Remove valve lifter (1) from the cylinder block.
- Put identification marks on the valve lifter for installation purposes.

- Lubricate the camshaft lobe and the valve lifter bore with a 50/50 mixture of Tooling (A) and clean engine oil.
- Install valve lifter (1) in the original location in the cylinder block.
