Start By:
- Remove the rocker arm and shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Rocker Arm and Shaft - Remove".

Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
Note: Place an identification mark on each of the components of the valve mechanism group for installation purposes.
- Use Tooling (A) to remove retaining ring (6).
- Remove stand (5), exhaust rocker arm (4), spring (3), and inlet rocker arm (2) from rocker arm shaft (1).
- Inspect all the components of the valve mechanism group for wear and damage.
