Event Codes
利用本节进行已产生事件代码但没有激活诊断代码的故障诊断与排除。 当产生事件代码时，该事件激活。 任何产生的编码被记录在电子控制模块（ECM）的永久存储器中。
事件代码警告操作员发动机运转状况不正常，如已检测到机油压力低或冷却液温度高。 事件并不表明电子系统有问题。 事件代码还用来指出问题的本质。 在装有 Caterpillar 电子技师（ET）软件的个人计算机上，可以查看事件代码。

图 1 显示冷却液温度传感器的输出电压。 如图 1 中所示，请记下传感器的输出电压。 ECM 检测到标示高于正常工作温度的传感器输出电压时，即产生事件代码。
可编程发动机参数
可以通过发动机编程对某些场合执行以下动作：
- 发动机停机
- 发动机报警
- 发动机功率递减
