Refrigerant Compressor Mounting Group - Remove and Install

Usage:

C15 BXS

Removal Procedure

  1. Release the spring tension on the belt tensioner and remove the belt.

  2. Remove the refrigerant compressor.

  3. Remove bolts (2), bolts (4), and bolts (5). Remove compressor support (1) from alternator support (6) and lifting eye (3).

  4. If necessary, remove belt tensioner (7) from alternator support (6).

    Note: Place an index mark on the belt tensioner and the alternator support for assembly purposes.

Installation Procedures

  1. Position compressor support (1) and install bolts (2), bolts (4), and bolts (5). Do not tighten the bolts at this time.

  2. Tighten bolts (4) to lifting eye (2).

  3. Tighten bolts (2) and bolts (5) to alternator support (6).

  4. Install belt tensioner (7) on alternator support (6).

  5. Install the refrigerant compressor.

  6. Release the spring tension on the belt tensioner and install the belt.
