Aftercooler - Remove
Start By:
- Remove the carburetor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Carburetor - Remove".
- Remove the instrument panel. Disassembly and Assembly, "Instrument Panel - Remove and Install".

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. - Shut off and disconnect the gas supply line to the gas pressure regulator.

- Disconnect tube assembly (2) from the boost control valve.

- Disconnect water inlet tube (10) from the fitting on the auxiliary water pump.
- Remove elbow (9) and water inlet tube (10) as a unit.

Illustration 7 g00991428 - Remove bolts (13) and the washers that hold aftercooler cover (12) in place. Remove aftercooler cover (12) and the gasket.

- Remove aftercooler housing (15) and the gaskets from the cylinder head.
