The following items are found on the User Interface on the Multiple Module Unit.

(1) Emergency Power Off Button - The emergency power off button is used in order to place the system in the shutdown mode. This button is red. The label on the button is "EPO".

(2) Keyswitch - The keyswitch is used in order to control the operation of the system. The keyswitch is used under the following conditions:

  • Reset or restart the system after an error, or any emergency shutdown mode is activated.

  • Lock the MMU into the Bypass or the "Online" position when the key is turned to that position and the key is removed from the keyswitch. If necessary, the system can continue to switch the bypass mode automatically.

The keyswitch has the following positions:

Bypass - The Bypass position is used in order to transfer the system to bypass mode. This position is used during certain maintenance procedures. This position offers no protection from problems with the incoming power.

"Online" - The "Online" position is the normal operating mode of the system. This position provides protection for problems with incoming power.

Reset - The Reset position is used to reset the system after any shutdown condition. The Reset switch is a spring return switch. When the key is released, the key returns to the "Online" position.
