New heat shields have been released for use on engines that are equipped with the following indicator valves: Kiene indicator valves and Schneider indicator valves.
The 230-7810 Heat Shield is a soft wrap that is designed for the 7C-7076 Manual Valve Gp. The 229-5415 Heat Shield and the 229-5417 Heat Shield are also soft wraps that are designed for use with the 197-5805 Manual Valve Gp. The 229-5415 Heat Shield is designed to cover the valve. The 229-5417 Heat Shield is designed to cover the boss of the cylinder head.
The 229-5415 Heat Shield and the 229-5417 Heat Shield are contained as part of the 197-5805 Manual Valve Gp. All future engines that are ordered with the 197-5805 Manual Valve Gp will include the heat shields.
