New Retaining Rings Used In Planetary Groups For Power Shift Transmissions{3176,3150}

Usage:

980C, 983B, 988B Loaders;
824C Tractors;
825C, 826C Compactors

Description of Change: New retaining rings are used at several locations in planetary groups for power shift transmissions on the above models. The new retaining rings are stronger, and will not break or work out of the groove as easily as the former rings.

Adaptable As: Direct replacement. Three new 6V836 Retaining Rings (Internal) are used in place of the former three 5S1041 Retaining Rings (Internal) in planetary groups for 980C, 983B and 988B Loaders. The 6V836 Rings are used in all 824C Tractors, 825C and 826C Compactors. Also, for 980C Loaders, 824C Tractors, 825C and 826C Compactors, a new 6V1898 Retaining Ring (External) is used in place of the former 4K4284 Retaining Ring (External) on the input side of the planetary group. The new retaining rings are in effect on machines with the transmission test numbers shown in the chart.
