E097 Engine Derate Overridden
Conditions Which Generate This Code:
The Electronic Control Module (ECM) detects the following condition:
- The input for the override switch that is used to override an engine derate is connected to the − Battery terminal.
System Response:
The event is logged in memory. When the input for the override switch is connected to the − Battery terminal all derates that are caused by the engine monitoring system are overridden.
Note: If a derate occurs there may not be enough warning to override the derate before the engine power is decreased. The override switch will enable the operator to restore engine power.
Normal power
- This event indicates that the override switch has been activated.
Test Step 1.
- No troubleshooting is required.
