Assembly Procedure

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury. To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.

Note: Install filter (17) from the caulked side of filter (17) .

1. Lubricate all bores with the lubricant that is being sealed. Install filter (17), collar (18), and retaining ring (19). Install O-ring seals (16) on adapter (13). Install valve (15), spring (14), and adapter (13). Tighten adapter (13) to a torque of 146 ± 15 N·m (108 ± 11 lb ft).

2. Install backup ring (11), O-ring seal (12), and seat (10). Install retainer (9). Tighten retainer (9) to a torque of 30 ± 3 N·m (22 ± 2 lb ft). Install valve (8). Install retaining ring (7) .

3. Install O-ring seal (3) and shims (4). Install coil (2) and bolts (1). Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 2.25 ± 0.25 N·m (20 ± 2 lb in). Install O-ring seals (6) on valve group (5) .

End By: Install the solenoid valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Solenoid Valve (Auxiliary Circuit) 1-Way/2-Way Flow (Left) - Install".
