Installation Procedure

- Attach Tooling (A), Tooling (B), and a suitable lifting device to boom (1). The weight of boom (1) is approximately 1678 kg (3700 lb). Use Tooling (A), Tooling (B), and the suitable lifting device to position boom (1) .

- Install shims (21) in order to maintain a maximum lateral clearance of 0.8 mm (0.03 inch). Install pin assembly (19) .

- Install bolt (20) .
- Attach a suitable lifting device to boom cylinder (14). The weight of boom cylinder (14) is approximately 213 kg (470 lb).

- Use the suitable lifting device in order to position boom cylinder (14) and reposition pin (18) .
- Install shims (17) in order to maintain a maximum lateral clearance of 0.8 mm (0.03 inch).
- Install plate (16) and bolts (15). Tighten bolts (15) to a torque of 100 ± 20 N·m (74 ± 15 lb ft).

- Connect grease hose assembly (13) .

- Repeat Steps 4 through 8 for the remaining boom cylinder.
- Install the mounting hardware. Connect hose assemblies (9) and hose assemblies (10). Connect hose assembly (11) and hose assembly (12) .

- Connect hose assembly (8) .

- Connect hose assemblies (6) and hose assemblies (7) .

- Connect harness assembly (5) .

- Use two people in order to position hood assembly (2). Install bolts (4) .

- Raise hood assembly (2). Attach a suitable lifting device in order to support hood assembly (2). Install struts (3). Lower hood assembly (2) and remove the suitable lifting device.

- Install the air cleaner. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Air Cleaner - Remove and Install".
- Remove the suitable cribbing from boom (1) .
