Replacement Procedure
When you are replacing the high pressure oil supply line, the fuel supply line must also be replaced in order to prevent interference with the new high pressure oil supply line. Table 2 provides the part numbers for the hose assembly, the adapter, and the fuel line for the engines with Davco fuel filters. Table 3 provides the part numbers for the hose assembly, the adapter, and the fuel line for the engines with standard fuel filters.

A     | 180-0186     | Removal Tool     | 1     |
The new 175-3236 Hose Assembly has quick disconnect fittings. The fittings require a 180-0186 Removal tool.
Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin. |
NOTICE |
---|
Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
In order to remove the hose from the adapter, slide the removal tool between the black collar and the fitting. Pull straight back on the hose.
Note: If the hose is cocked slightly to one side, you may not be able to pull apart the hose even though the hose is not latched.
NOTICE |
---|
If the hose is not correctly connected the hose will come loose when the engine is started and the engine oil will come out of the hose. Engine damage can result. |
In order to connect the hose, push the hose onto the adapter. Be sure that you check the connection by pulling straight back on the hose.
