- Install bearing cup (16).
- Install bearing cone (17) and seal (15).

Illustration 2 g01044179 - Raise the temperature of bearing cone (14).
- Lower the temperature of shaft (13).
- Install bearing cone (14) and shaft (13).
- Use a suitable fixture to press bearing (14) to a force of
28 ± 1 kN (6250 ± 225 lb) .Note: Rotate shaft (13) or the hub as the force is being applied.
- Install washer (12).
- Install lockwasher (11).
- Use Tooling (B) to install spanner nut (10).
- Torque spanner nut (10) to
88 ± 7 N·m (65 ± 5 lb ft) . - Apply additional torque to align one of the tabs on lockwasher (11) with a slot in spanner nut (10).
- Bend the tab on lockwasher (11).
