  1. Install bearing cup (16).

  2. Install bearing cone (17) and seal (15).

  3. Raise the temperature of bearing cone (14).

  4. Lower the temperature of shaft (13).

  5. Install bearing cone (14) and shaft (13).

  6. Use a suitable fixture to press bearing (14) to a force of 28 ± 1 kN (6250 ± 225 lb).

    Note: Rotate shaft (13) or the hub as the force is being applied.

  7. Install washer (12).

  8. Install lockwasher (11).

  9. Use Tooling (B) to install spanner nut (10).

  10. Torque spanner nut (10) to 88 ± 7 N·m (65 ± 5 lb ft).

  11. Apply additional torque to align one of the tabs on lockwasher (11) with a slot in spanner nut (10).

  12. Bend the tab on lockwasher (11).

  13. Attach Tooling (A).

  14. Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (A).

  15. Install hub (9) to ring gear (3). The weight of hub (9) is approximately 68 kg (150 lb).

  16. Install bolts (8).

  17. Install two planetary gears (7), sun gear (6), spline (5), and thrust washer (4).

  18. Install cover plate (2) to ring gear (3).

  19. Install bolts (1).

End By:

  1. Install the gerotor motor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Gerotor Motor - Install".
