(3) Impeller cover

Tighten the bolts (3) on the impeller cover to the following torque: ... 18 ± 3 N·m (13 ± 2 lb ft)

Note: The impeller is pressed onto shaft (7). The face of the impeller is flush to the end of the shaft.

The clearance between the impeller and the water pump housing is 0.94 ± 0.47 mm (0.037 ± 0.019 inch).

Note: Clearance between the impeller and the water pump housing is preset once the impeller is pressed onto the shaft.

The clearance between the water pump housing and the water pump drive gear is 2.8 mm (0.11 inch).

Note: Clearance between the water pump housing and the water pump drive gear is preset once the bearings are tightened against the water pump drive gear.
